Kerry caught

As if you would not suspect otherwise .... Senator John Blowbag Kerry (not to be confused with the Senior Blowbag from Massachusetts) just got caught overspending legal campaign limits for the 2004 Democratic run. To the tune of $1.4 million.

Ok, that is not a whole lot of money in the scheme of presidential campaigns, but what really gets me is what it was spent on: about $1.3 million that went unreported went to re-configuring the campaign jets. Huh?

$1.3 million dollars to re-configure jets to make them more suitable to your campaign? Are we rock stars with a taste for excess or politicians claiming to reign in government spending? Kerry's Boeing 757 (sure he needed the space like Pelosi does), had $63,000 spent on exterior decals. What? Another $900,000 went to other things inside the plane. And Edwards -- the Veep nomination .. had $301,000 spent on reconfiguring his 727: $225,000 for a new telephone system (to keep the calls and campaign solicitations coming) and $28,000 for decals.

Ok, pick up your jaw and take a breath.
