Time to blog

Only I really don't feel like "saying" much. Will the Democrats go "nuke?" It sort of looks that way. It that an incredibly stupid thing to do? Probably. Is that in any way a shock given the past 14 months of the Obama administration? No.

So what next?  I am watching the unfolding lending crisis with some apprehension -- but what can I do about it?  Not much.

Uh ... the Germans have extracted their pound of flesh from the Greeks ... but they are kidding if they think that anything will change in Athens. That is a spectacularly corrupt and indolent group we are talking about: there is no way that any form of cost cutting or budgetary restraint will work. None. So what we are doing is putting a fig leaf over the pustibule.  And Spain is just as grim.

Some idiot Israeli soldier put his team's movements up on Facebook.... Hate to be him right now.

Charles Rangel asked for a leave of absence .... gave up the gavel of the House Ways and Means Committee. Why he has not been drummed out of the House for his blatant corruption eludes me, but Pelosi sees no foul when one of her flock is on the take. So instead he is going to his villa in the D.R. to soak up some sun while investigations proceed on his income tax fraud and certain financing "irregularities" ... just where did he get the money for the villa?

Here's a good one: NY Governor Patterson -- the Lt. Gov. hack shooed in because of the Spitzer affair -- is being investigated by all sorts of people. Why? Because he sought and took Yankees World Series tickets without paying for them.  He then compounded his "ethical" problems when he was called on this and tried to write a check for them -- backdated.  Who gives a good rat's ass?  He is the Governor of the Empire State. He should have a friggin Gubernatorial Box on the first base line. But no ... you see, Patterson was meant to stand down as soon as the next election came along so that the NY Democrat machine could install a safe and loyal O-bot and march in line with the Party diktats. And Patterson decided that he liked being Governor.

In the process Patterson showed that he was an independent thinker and refused to bow and genuflect to anyone in Washington, so now he is the target of anything the press and various Democrat apparatchiks can throw at him: the NYT is loyal to the Liberal Machine and not New York's first black governor. But Rangel can still parade around while being investigated of SERIOUS crimes, federal felonies and obstruction of justice. The difference being that Rangel is an O-bot and Pel-louse.

Fun to watch the Liberal machine involved in highly hypocritical internecine warfare. Just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.  There now, I feel better!
