How to report

As usual, the US press experiments on how to portray the US military in the least favorable light:

U.S.-Led Airstrike Kills 7 Children in Afghanistan

Kabul Blast Shows Taliban Capability

This from CBS news (remember Dan Rather?). So what was the deal? The Air Force, in response to a deadly suicide bombing which killed 35 police instructors and wounded dozen more, targeted a suspected Al Qaeda operations center. That center was a mosque and an attached madrassa (islamic school -- not necessarily anything to do with children). The center had been under surveillance for days and there had been nothing to suggest that there were children in there.

So instead of a headline: "Terrorists hide behind civilians, children and religion, again ..." we have a detailed examination designed to show why the US was wrong. The people made to look bad on the surface are our men and women in uniform, risking their lives to confront the demonstrably dangerous terrorist organization, Al Qaeda. Does anyone not remember the Burquas, the executions for kite flying, the absence of music, the subjugation of women, the intolerance for any other thoughts other than those permitted by ultra restrictive Taliban, hosts of Al Qaeda.

Put this another way: these chicken shits hide behind kids and our press blames us? IF you are the xx chromosome persuasion, I fail to see how you can fall for the crap handed out by the media: your sisters will once again be enslaved as a matter of government policy. Is that what you want? Because that WILL be the result if NATO fails.
