Contracting blues

Note to self: don't live in a house that you are doing an addition on. No matter how big the house. Just say no. And mean it. Urg.

I get to the point that I don't want to go home at all. It is just too damn depressing. And the BS about it "only taking 12-14 weeks" ARGGHHGHGHGHHHH. It is a pack of lies. Not even Bill Clinton could keep a straight face telling that one, but every contractor can do that without even batting an eyelid. And the extras pile up. Do you want molding on the exterior walls?

Huh? Wasn't that included in the price of the job? Guess not, eh? And while they demolish your house, you can see that everything is going to need to be repainted, new carpets, fixes here and there and don't even look out at the lawn. What lawn. Was there ever any green growing out of this facsimile of the Atacama?

Why not?

I figured that everyone has a blog ... so why not bore other people with mine too? Jeez it can't be that hard.

So what to moan on about? Boston? Too easy, at least not for tonight. The Red Sox?

Ok: a quickie -- dump Manny. Just get rid of him. There are plenty of left fielders that can fill that gap. Take the extra cash and hire a bullpen. The whole shooting match-style bullpen. Pay Theo. Just do it. Edgar has got to go. Pay Papi. Let Johnny Damon go. He has become a liability, and his shoulder is not going to get any better any time soon. Schilling ... you've got to give him another year to get it together. Bronson: time to leave.

That's quite a bit of movement. Millar? Bye-bye. Trot? Take the same train as Bronson.

I am feeling quite the henchman tonight.

And let's get this straight, Bush. The buck stops there. Stand up and say "for what ever ills that may be bothering you, from every element of stupidity rendered by myself all the way down the chain to the lowliest GS6 working in the Podunk post office ... I am sorry." Now get out of my face. And the NY Times needs to get a life: this is a pathetic prosecution and "scandal." Of course, according to you guys Bill getting a hummer under his desk from an intern was not a scandal. Hillary didn't think so either. Ms. Plame was not then "undercover" and the disclosure hurt nobody, except to expose that her husband was a lying gonad. So some other lying gonads working for Bush had it in for him. So what?

What really burns my butt is that this is being turned to become the forum for the review of the Iraq war. The whole WMD thing. Hey, we are there. Our soldiers need our support now. Not navel-contemplation about wether he knew or didn't know and when he should have known. Jeez, keep our eyes on the ball, not where the evil rodents from the Times tell us to look, while gassing behind their curtains in Oz.

Perjury is a crime. Prosecute it where people take an oath to tell the truth. If you lied to the Newspress, I could not give a rats ass. They all do. They have all done it in the past and will continue for the foreseeable future. What's new? If all of a sudden the fact that the current administration is doing it bothers you, pose the question to yourself: "what the F@@@ have I been doing for the last [enter your age here] years?" Because, you have certainly woken from a coma lasting from long before Bush ever took office.

Now if we want to get nasty, let's look under some rocks that NEED some kicking over, like contracting in the new Iraq. Like the relationship of Halliburton with just about everything to do with the government. Like ... follow the money. From Uncle Sam's billfold right into the pockets of some slimy cretins that have houses in Palm Beach (or Dubai or ....). The public might like to know where the money that is so deftly removed from our personal disposable incomes goes. Now we are talking crime. Not some dumb-ass "scandal" surrounding Rove, Cheney and Boosh. Oh, yeah, Scooter ... you need to know the meaning of "memo to file" and contemporaneous recordation.

One more thing!!! I could indict Lassie for dereliction of duty. Get a grip and stop breathlessly telling the public "THEY INDICTED HIM." So the [bleep] what? But it makes good partisan press.

I am still waiting for Barbra and Alec to get off their asses and leave the country already. Day 1700 and counting. He is still here and you two are still here. Go! Or were you lying? Hey, isn't that one of the problems you have with Boosh? Are you being hypocritical? No, I thought not. You are just having trouble getting a booking on Air France.
