Long time no post

My mother is in town, I have a lot of cases in court, yada, yada, yada.

Anyway: each illegal low-skilled immigrant household costs the US taxpayer -- on average -- just under $20,000 per year. This is the net of self-reported welfare benefits received minus taxes paid. In that this is self-reported, the probability that the head of household would lie about how much he receives from the government ... is so close to zero as to be such. "No, hang on Mr. Census-man, I wanna show how huge a burden on the US I am. Let me lie a little."

What does this mean? Simple. The vast majority of the people that Chief Moron Boosh and all the Democrat wind-bags want to let into the country are going to sap its vitality. $20K per household. And that includes the single person household with the 20 person extended family -- where single immigrant workers outnumber (vastly) the larger. But with the proposed Boosh laws and democrats pushing even harder to "humanely" let in families ... that number can only escalate.

I don't want to wait in hospital waiting rooms for illegals to receive treatment. In their country, if I couldn't produce the cash up front I'd receive no treatment at all. I certainly could not work without papers -- would face immediate arrest and deportation, even though I would probably pay more in taxes than a score of them combined and would be able to provide service to their economies that would simply not be available otherwise. That is the rule of law almost everywhere in the rest of the world. But greedy Booshies and leftists (isn't that a strange set of bedfellows?) want us to be different ... want us to offer freebies to the whole world.

Listen up morons of the left and right: we are in debt as a nation. We have a huge foreign debt and trade imbalance. We have trillions in government paper floating around, a lot of which is in the hands of our enemies. We have crumbling infrastructure, we have poorer schools, healthcare is becoming all but unaffordable, our streets have become dangerous with criminals accorded more rights than law-abiding citizens, a military that needs to have its reservists serve more than four tours of active duty patrolling a shit-hole like Iraq. In short, we are scarcely a superpower any more -- more like a large drunken, debt-ridden lout. Whom nobody respects. And we should let in the offal, the detritus of the chaos that latin (Spanish colonial residue) corruption has created? That is going to improve the lot of Americans and our standing in the world -- which in turn has always helped the world by providing financial aid and physical help in times of trouble? Huh?

Yeah, I hear you say, but then we will have to pay $10 for a head of lettuce. Maybe we will. We eat too much anyway. Maybe it might encourage us to grow some of our own food ... maybe it will encourage us to develop new ways to farm and produce food efficiently. American ingenuity has provided the world with a great many of its most useful inventions -- and labor saving devices and procedures can only help a country with its legal citizens growing gradually older.

It is NOT our fault that Latin American countries are basket-cases of corruption. It is not our fault that their politicians foster economic growth and regional power through unfettered population growth. It is not our fault that there are no jobs awaiting the great unwashed of multiple continents. We have no responsibility to the people of countries that elect politicians so completely hostile to US interests and culture.

People of Mexico and Venezuela (in particular -- although this may apply on a broader basis): you are the authors of your own misery. Your corruption is a way of life -- your life. Squalor and filth is apparently OK to you. I, for one, do not want your way of life, ethics, morals and culture here. Don't come whining to me about your poor children and their condition -- you had them, you have to take care of them, not force American taxpayers to do so -- just because our liberals are too ignorant to see that what we are talking about is individual responsibility, and our farming capitalists too greedy to care about it. If you have children here they should NOT automatically become citizens and a backdoor to becoming burdens on our society.

If you have something to offer, fine. Apply and receive a visa. Learn our language within prescribed time frameworks. Pay taxes. Once here and part of our system, you can bring your immediate family to join you -- that is wife and kids only. Do not commit crimes in our country. When your visa is up, return home ... unless you can show that you have made the effort to assimilate and become American.

Why this rant yet again? Because our government, our press, our society is not either listening or thinking.

Hummus and Fatah

Nothing more delicious than a civil war among terrorist organizations. Go to it lads!!

As readers of my rubbish will know, I have long been expecting Iran to step up its nuclear ambitions and to watch the Europeans come up with new excuses why they should shirk their global responsibilities -- and wait for Americans to clean up the mess. Iran is NOT (at least currently) a mess of US making. There has been 30 years of appeasement by Europe to the mullahs and where has this gotten us? A proto nuclear Iran.

If EVER there was a group that should not have access to WMD, it is the Iranian Mullahs. And Ahmadinejad.

Back to Europe: it was with great pleasure that I watched the defeat of Sego R ... I fully expect France to riot, march, burn and generally mess their beds over the coming couple of years -- but at least for now, there is a glimmer of hope.New French President Nicolas Sarkozy, right, accompanies back newly named French Prime Minister Francois Fillon after their meeting at the Elysee Palace, in Paris, Thursday, May 17, 2007. And Fillon -- anyone really know anything about him? Anyone? I'll tell you what though, these two guys look the real French deal. Would you like a calva with your coffee?

And Melinda Doolittle was booted from "Idol." Once again, my fellow Americans have shown a remarkable disregard for talent and have instead chosen the pretty and twee. Ugh.

Its the people, stupid.

Paraphrasing the famous "it's the economy..." line, we can safely say: "it's the people, stupid." That is, the six morons caught in New Jersey have a few things in common: (1) they are Muslim; (2) they were home grown wannabe jihadists; (3) they had a much better life here than where they came from; and (4) they chose to bite the hand that feeds it. Three of them has something far more sinister in common: they were illegal immigrants.

Illegals DO pose a threat. Worse, in this case, four were here because the US had saved them from ritual slaughter through ethnic cleansing in Yugoslavia, one a refugee from Kosovo. So how do you reward the country that saved you? You watch jihadi videos on the internet and plan to kill American soldiers. Like they have ever done anything to you but help you.

It is no use trying to think up BS excuses and just call them New Jersey men (as NPR has tried to characterize them) ... they are first and foremost Muslim. All six of them. All six participated in creating jihadi propaganda (but for a video clerk at Kinkos, we might be watching footage of their plans going into action). All six intended to kill American soldiers. The elephant is in the room -- we have home grown Muslim terrorists too, and but for our stupidity in permitting illegals to thrive in our society, we may have had -- at least -- fewer of them.

If Ted Kennedy and his pals had manages to grant blanket asylum and open borders to illegals, more of these terrorists will be able set up shop here. I say, let's round them up.

Thoughts on Disney

I just came back from Disneyworld in Florida -- they really do an excellent job for small kids. My daughter was over the moon with excitement and pleasure at seeing all her princesses, etc. They are also very careful for people with food allergies -- but that is about it.

Because: there are more grossly obese people waddling around that place than any other spot I have been on the face of the globe ... and I have been around a bit. Huge portions. Huge bellies. Lots of people on "mobility scooters" -- why so many? Easy. They are too fat to make it around the limited confines of the park. They are too fat and obviously do not exercise at all -- else why would they be that fat? Fat, fat, fat. And high fructose corn syrup. Everywhere.

Now, if you try to expand your horizons a bit, you can find pretty decent food in Epcot, and some of the less frequented hotels have excellent food (Shula's steakhouse, Todd English's bluezoo, Citricos and others). But if you are in the magic kingdom, prepare yourself for calories and fat.

Ever notice how fat people (at least at this sort of park) tend to wander aimlessly? Stop right in the center of a thoroughfare for a gulp of Coke? Doesn't anyone remember how to walk? The frustration factor in getting from ride to ride is incredible.

Phew. Finished with that (or was that fat?).

Disney as a vacation experience could be an excellent place for large families with deeper pocket books -- reserve in advance and good food is yours. Reserve tee-times and some excellent golf courses are available. There are two major water parks for fun in the heat and enough variety in terms of shows and activities to keep even a picky family occupied for a week. The get the hell out of Dodge.
